I was about to ask the same question as I will be getting tires in a couple of months.

I just got an E4 on my 03 a couple days ago. Only 50 miles on it so no real test yet but I do believe it is quieter than the E3. My dealer ordered an E3 but they are apparently not available now.

I have about 3,500 miles on my E4 front and PR4 rear combo. A 2,600 mile trip to Utah with a lot of wind, some nice curves and some rain shows me that the E4 is a good choice for me. A check with the tread gauge shows the E4 should get about the same as the E3 did for me, about 16,000 miles.

I have recently had E-4's installed on my "15 Goldwing. They are quiet and smooth. A couple of days ago however, I happened to be riding home in rain. After crossing a rural intersection, and going up a slight grade, I was surprised at wheelspin, accelerating in fourth gear. My thought was that there must have been a bit of oil on the road. Later, again just slightly upgrade, I got unexpected wheelspin in fifth gear! I guess Wings have too much torque! Checked rear tire pressure later; correct at 40 psi.
