Except for seeing the same thing well over 250 times!!!on a track will be easy .....
I didn't know anything about Carl's LA-NY run prior to my NY-SF ride last year. Turns out I rode 100 miles further in an hours less time. I had less fuel on board and was required to get a receipt every 350 miles. I was never more than 10 over unless I had a rabbit. No radar detector or lead car scouting. I remember glancing down at 4am (24hrs in) and I had eclipsed 1800 miles. My stops were real quick, gas and go every 330-340 miles. Pee break every other fuel stop (helmet never left my head in 38.5hrs-LOL). 2000+ miles in 24hrs on interstates would be real tough without losing your license. 2000+ miles on a closed course doesn't seem as tough as it does boring.I think Kendo's run from NYC to San Francisco last fall was more of a challenge than this seems.
Not to brag (too much) but I did 1160 miles last september in under 15 hours, mostly on I40 running with the traffic, piece of cake. Averaged 77 mph.
Nothing about this is going to be easy.on a track will be easy .....
Hmm.... it took me 36 1/2 hours to cover that distance... both times*... on real roads... getting off the ST1100 at each gas stop.. AND a 3 hour nap.
