That sure brings back memories way back from the 70's when the American Hotel was the favorite watering hole for many locals.Good write up Gerd. If it were me my story for Jarvis would have gone something like I learned to drink beer at the American Hotel in Jarvis ... 10 cents per glass if I recall.
Then we were unknowingly neighbors for a while just a few miles down the road in Caledonia for me, but never on anybody else's sofa.I lived in Hagersville at the time and periodically on a buddies coach in Jarvis.
I find that website helpful, too. However, looking at Google Street View I could only find an acceptable sign scrolling east on highway 81 coming into Queenston. There you go Gerd -- road trip!I went looking for Quarindale awhile ago. I'm pretty sure i found the right place but there's no sign anymore .

Been meaning to take a ride over to Queensville for a month or so and have just not had the time. Also not as many fun roads over that way so I end up riding more north than east. Maybe on my way back from TO on Friday I can take a slight detour and get the photo. Will have to see how it works out.I went looking for Quarindale awhile ago.
