Got it, but I had to run up to Kettle Falls for the A-Z and just started seeing the wear mark on the rear tire. Left it at a great place for a bite with LOTS of options for riding. Pick a direction and go!

Al, Deb and I were right there, but didn't get busy with the picture taking at the dam. We were too excited to get to Todd and Kari's to see all the wonderful folks there, and Maggie.

NEW: Decommissioned 567th SMS Atlas E Missile Silo Site 6, Davenport Complex
Current Owner runs a UFO reporting agency and uses the site for long term storage of collected data.
The access road is 5.8 miles South on Hwy 28 out of Davenport from Hwy 2. Fairly easy to find... it is called "Old Missile Silo Rd".
I went as far as the cattle gate and didn't feel like pushing the "No Trespassing" sign. Advance at your own peril....

I like it Dale, and I suspect this is the last post for the season, as snow seems to be flying everywhere...welcome back. About the no trespassing sign...you chicken!

You know... I thought about going further... the sign even said to replace the cattle gate after entrance... right next to the no trespassing. Hmmmm... his website profile shows an intelligent and successful scientific owner. But I don't know what kind of defense you need to protect your UFO database from being pilfered.
:well1::mw1::threadbomb1: :spank1::mw1::well1:

Nor do I need to find out.

Maybe I'll write a letter and ask for a tour before he finds me taking pictures of his secured facility?

Todd.... You've got one in your backyard. Daylene and I took this pic coming home from STOCtoberfest:
Missile Silo 8 Egypt.jpg

You can actually see a lot more at the Egypt site 8 than you can at the Davenport site 6.

When you hit 25 coming from your house turn right and go 9.2 miles. There will be a Pankey Rd E that you will turn right. Follow it up 1.4 miles and you will see the gate on the right. The whole road will make a 90 degree turn, but keep going... you won't have any real choice.

If you wante a google address: 36100 Pankey Road East will be the start of the entrance road that leads to the gate.

You've driven past this so many times you can't count and probably never knew it was there. Would've been more noticeable with an Atlas E sticking out...

In fact... Let's change the tag to any old Atlas E sites. There are 9... but you have to hit 2!!!
Please remember that a couple of these are privately owned and used as residences. Discretion advised. I believe the Reardan site 9 is controlled by the Center for Disease Control.

Snag: Per the tag, 2 sites visited. You can’t drive into the Davenport site due to it being the ‘UFO Database’. However you can drive right in to the Sprague site.

When is it that you took these photos? Are you showing me that the snow is gone in Washington State?
Pics were taken today. We’ve had some warm temps lately and out on the Palouse the snow is mostly gone. There is still snow around Coeur d’ Alene and about 40 miles north there is still several feet of snow in the ground. 60F+ on the ride today.
