Thanks for the information. My local battery place told me the same thing about the motocross brand a few yrs back when I got one for my KLR 650.

Ebay has them for $150 plus $15 shipping for us Canadians. Not bad at all. Local Yuasa batteries are about $235 plus tax. Fort Nine is a little better at about $217 plus tax.

Since my clock and odometer are resetting , I've heard it's battery time. Did I read on here somewhere that the ST1100 battery has a larger capacity? Should I spring for that battery? Will it fit ok?

I don't know if it will fit, but it sure would be cheaper, even here in Canada. I bought a Yuasa YTX14-BS (OEM ST1100) at a Honda dealer in June of 2014 for $98.99 (10% discount applied). Three years ago, but pricing wouldn't have gone anywhere near the $200+ you have found for the 1300 spec unit.

Thanks for the info....

I checked the size difference for the 1100 to the 1300 and it looks like just the height is different. The 1100 is a little over an inch taller. I'll probably stick with the original size and try the Motocross battery made by Yuasa. I'll even try my local dealership for pricing. Sometimes they are competitive....

Hmm.. seems to be identified by a person selling it that it is identical to the Yuasa. This person(s) make money from you buying this battery not from you buying a genuine Yuasa.
According to said person(s) Yuasa makes money either way.
So what could be wrong with this picture/article??
