I am not the best person to answer your questions but I won't let that stop me.

Many members here have either ST1100s or ST1300s that have well over 100,000 miles some even over 200,000 miles.

If it's been well maintained as you say it has many more miles left in its life. No worries. Others here will probably point out some things you may want to check.

I have 123,000 miles on my '05. I replaced the water pump at around 105,000. (If yours isn't leaking, it's not a problem.) I checked the clutch plates at the same time and found that they were only half way to the service limit. (I replaced it anyway, since I had the parts on hand.) You shouldn't have to do much other than routine maintenance. Get a shop manual and you can handle anything that come up yourself.

I'd check the valve clearances, unless you know when they were last done. Same for oil, rear drive fluid, and coolant. If the previous owner hasn't changed the brake and clutch fluid, I'd do it too. Gas, oil, and tires are the things you'll do most often.

Proper maintaince is much more important than mileage. Given the info on your post, you are good for many more miles.

I put 174,300 miles on my first ST1300 and it is still being ridden by my son that bought it from me back in June 2013. As long as the maintenance has been done, you should be good to go.

I agree completely with John's comment. If properly maintained, mileage is almost meaningless. I have a 2001 ST 1100 with well over 100,000 miles, I have maintained it carefully since new, it has never broken down and never surprised me with an unexpected repair.

The ST 1100 and ST 1300 motorcycles are commonly used as police bikes all over the world. They are very durable.

Proper maintenance, just sold my 2007 with 245,000 on it with full binder on what was done. Still was running like a charm
