ST1100 (2000) Headlight upgrade advice / kit

Good day everyone, (new member).

I looked throught the current threads before posting. I think my question is suitable for a new thread.

I have a 2000 ST1100. I want to upgrade my headlights to something more modern however the current low voltage 55watt bulbs are not cutting it.

Any suggestions on kits and types of bulbs I can replace the OEM stuff with.

I've got H4 style sylvania xtravision auto bulbs with the H4 shims so you don't have to use the Honda OEM bulbs - these are quite bright and found everywhere. What kind of bulbs are you currently using? If they're not Honda OEM bulbs are you using the bulb shim? If not the bulbs won't align correctly.

I've just received the Evitek G6s today. So we'll see how they go. I'm currently running 55/60W H4s (9003) in all my ST1100s with the ring adapters. What I really want do is to figure out a better 'lock' than those stinking wire bails that made the whole deal a pain in the anatomy. ;-)
