You tripped it? Does that mean they are all your miles? If so congrats! :clap2:

Nice! I hope that many of those miles were completed as you pursue your project to honor veterans and capture their recollections.

And I do it all with a stock seat! I now tell folks I can tell which end of me has the bigger callous...

Over 86,000 miles were ridden for the Ride Around America project. Most of the other 14k were back and forth to VAMC hospitals for appointments and monitoring. Had those appointments not been required I would have hit the 100K long ago. Still in remission from my second go round with pancreatic cancer... doctors say that riding is giving me a good reason to live. If any of you are Traveling Wilburys fans then you know the song "End of The Line." It tells my story, I think...

This last trip was hard on Mr. Burgess. Put in a 500+ mile day from Vernon, TX to Roswell, NM on one leg... and about 300 miles of that was in a horrendous dust and wind storm that gunked up the windscreen track. Then a week later I took a bird strike that cracked the CalSci w/s.

On the second day out, with less than 700 miles on the installation of a new set of tires the rear valve stem broke - at 75 MPH on an Interstate route in ARK. Two days later the front stem broke. I had never used that shop to mount before and I am still upset - and I have avoided running over to give them my opinions.

.....
:22yikes: I did a 1,200 mile ride on the stock saddle, a few months after buying my '05. I couldn't sit for a week after that! :eek:4:

You have a hard :)butt1:) act to follow! ;)
