I think the rider was a bit to fast, he locked the front wheel that caused him to fall down, and eventually he has enough space to maneuver around the truck - if he didn't panic. What do you think?

He was too busy screwing around standing up which probably cut his reaction time by one second, which would have made the difference.

And standing with sudden braking would shift the rider forward, taking the weight off the back tire on what appears to be a wet surface already. If the rider was a tad slower as well as if he is passing in what looks to be a construction zone, speed is not his friend.

Once again, multiple causes - we usually get away with one mistake, but when they pile up, watch out! He was riding too fast for conditions, standing up on a smooth surface in traffic, he locked his front brake, should have anticipated the truck pulling out and slowed earlier.

He had just come off a gravel surface and was on the gas. Reduced traction played a part. He SHOULD have been more visible as he was standing up.
Mellow is right about that reducing his reaction time, he braked, lost traction, came off and got traction back all while trying to turn. One more second of reaction time would have made the difference.
He did shake it of like a PRO.

Don't ride in Russia is what I have learned from watching lots of crazy driving videos from there.

Locked the front wheel, at that point it was game over. He had room to brake, avoid, recover, and then change his pants. He really should have seen the truck, and noted it as a potential problem.

Me? I would have laid it down, slid under the trailer, popped it back up and rolled on....no, wait, that was a movie I watched.

Panic set in and he fixated on the truck rather than the escape route .o2

Didn't have his LED Headlight modulator going! It would have stopped that truck in it's tracks, before he ever started thinking of going across that road!

You forgot to add a linky to the LED modulator thread. Dang! Remind me again what I pay you for? :rofl1:

If that would have been a trials bike, he could have leaped up on top of the truck, ridden its length, then wheelie'd off while waving.

Which one today...?
I learned that with the exception of the driver in the car with the dash cam, none of the other cagers seemed to care or attempted to render aid. Granted, the owner got up and rode away and, perhaps, there may have been some voice communication between the owner and one or two of the cars at the intersection. We can't know. The owner may have just waved them on.

A Rider would have chosen a less threatening and unpredictable environment to stretch his legs.
