So I rode the 2010 over to storage, to swap it with the 2004#2. The plan was to just get the 2004 back on the road, so I could ride it for my commutes. After stripping off all the tupperware, I was looking at the leakage from the waterpump and decided that it was coming off for replacement!

Sounds good, and it looks like your front tire is mounted backwards? Is that not unidirectional so water etc can be pushed away from the center?

It's correctly mounted. Doesn't look it would be but it is.

It's a PR3 and yes, it's mounted correctly.

So I managed to scrape off the gasket (oh what a PIA) and get the new cover and gaskets on. I now have the tank on and the rear panel replaced with the black '06. I need to hook up my Bluesea fuseblock and then the driving lights, then I'll have to clean up the windshield mechanism that I have for it (really dirty, one I pick off ebay). After all of that, I'll be able to put the front cowls back on. and then the fairing lowers.

Due to the water pump replacement, it is taking me much longer than anticipated, but hopefully, I won't have to do too much, other than ride it!

I'll see if I can post my pictures out to my site and then link them here.

Dang, and the '04#2 is out of commission again! Reason: It won't start right now.

I need to decide if I should take the time to figure it out, or just spend the few hours I need to on the '10 and get it back on the road!

Bob,
Your travails with your bikes sounds like mine with snowblowers. My advice is to get them all up and running at the same time.

The '04#2 :bk13: is back! I was able to get it started with a new battery. Too bad the '04#1 won't start so easy! :eek:4:

It still has a minor coolant leak and I know exactly where it is leaking, I'm just not ready to tear into it to replace that dang o-ring!
