Broke some. They are the push in plastic screw anchors that hold upper cowling to speedometer. I did find some at hardware store but they were $4.49 for 2. E bay has several sizes for $5.00 for 20 or 30. I just want to ensure I buy same size.

Push pins? Push Rivets? If you go to the parts fiche at discounthondaparts.com, you will find they come in several sizes and flavors. Elsewhere on this site (can't find the link right now) someone has posted numbers and other sources.

Here is some of the info: (ignore my 'need' column) Prices were checked in 2015 and may not be current

i thought the prices were high too. i bought two boxes of assorted online. So I have extras, but they are not exact. It's better to stay with OE if you can.

P.S. The oem ones fit better than the two I got at Hopot. Tighter fit, hold better, all that good stuff (but more expensive, too). I've not tried any from the other sources quoted on this site that are not OEM. The oem seem to last longer and don't fall out. If it does, guaranteed that will happen when you are fleeing from an LEO at 137 mph in a driving rain storm - no hope of recovering that 1.50 rivet.

In searching for replacement rivets, I too ordered an assorted box of 'Honda rivets' from a website ... only a few were matched and most were different and were thrown away.

+1... stay with Honda's parts if you want them right and want a good fit. There are many posts over the decade of folks trying to find a cheaper local replacement at local hardware stores ... once in a while you can find size/shape that will substitute, but they're just not the same.

:)

If you go to a auto body supply store and get a box of 2617 Push Rivet and 2991 Push Rivet you will have the 2 types that the ST has.
