Great looking bike, congrats! I don't believe they are available in Canada anymore. I sat on one at a dealer once and it was VERY comfortable

Congratulations. I actually seriously looked at one. The deal breaker for me was the feet forward position. I really like being able to stand up on the pegs occasionally, even on the ST1300. my dirt bike roots. I have ridden other crusier bikes so I could have lived with it but I just bought one of the last 2012 ST1300s to keep me going for the near future. Do give us a critical ride report and let us know how it handles compared to your old STs. I actually own a Harley Ultra and a Road King, they are just parked in my brothers garage and he takes care of them.....

There's a couple of things I find really interesting with the CTX1300 compared to the ST1300.

First is the number of years they built them...one! Which means getting parts for them will be a big PIA in the future, so get what you want while you can!

Next is the price they are selling NEW, (I've seen a few on ebay & cycletrader for $8,999) $9,999! Still at least $3,000 cheaper than a 2012 ST1300.

Also, on ebay I see the same shared parts (CTX1300 & ST1300), but advertised on the CTX1300 category, going for Harley prices! What's up with that?

If you like the looks and comfort of the feet forward, go for it! :D

Those are the standard version... without the ABS/TC and BT stereo system. But the Deluxe models (if you can find them) usually go 1000-1500 more. Dealers are still ignorant about this bike and don't know how to sell them so they just drop the prices to dump them. Good for those who want one these days.

No, - more cold light beer is not better, but if you put it in the right place... like the empty beer stein in my hand, that would be better.
