Hi everybody, my new limited edition CNC run of MoDZuki's adapter plates is in and ready to ship.

These will allow you to adapt Goldwing GL1800 crash bars to an ST1300. I will also soon have available a limited edition of powdercoated crash bars for $87 a pair + 13.60 shipping.

Price is $48 + $7.15 priority small box shipping for CONUS (Canadian/foreign please inquire by pm). Terms: Paypal Friends and family payments. If they don't work for you I will accept return but you pay shipping both ways. No warranties made or implied. Please note small imperfections on adapter surfaces and "nubs" left from CNC machining (some polishing/finishing may be required if you are particular).

Thanks,

Martin in Redlands.

Hey Brian, give me a holler if you're in the area, I work from home so I'm around a lot, we can compare st's and shoot the sh*t. I bought my ST in La Quinta, up the road from you. Sent you my # by pm. Martin.

I will have powder-coated black ones available for 87 + shipping next week. On ebay they go from $40 shipped on up (some of these are after-market but are very comparable). You might ask a local shop that does trikes if you have one near you, might get lucky, or keep an eye on local craigslist.

Re: Available now Gold Wing Crash Bar to ST1300 Adapter Plates and Hardware $48 + shi

Here are the cheapest ones on ebay, says last one but he might get more (was originally going to source from him):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-Rear-Saddlebag-Crash-Guard-Bar-For-Honda-GOLDWING-GL1800-2001-2014-05-06-/222345376664?fits=Model:Goldwing+1800&hash=item33c4d13398:g:swEAAOxyxmJSOBj9&vxp=mtr

The ones you need are the GL1800 2001 - 2014 models. Nothing else will work with the adapters (but these are the most common ones out there). Do a search for goldwing gl1800 crash bars.

Really cool! I bet this can save the side panniers in case of a crash.

One question (as it wasn't clear in the photos): does it require to remove the passenger footpegs?

Yes and no.... They will protect the saddlebags. No (look at the first pictures again, that is the passenger peg) you don't loose the passenger pegs.

Canadian brethren (and sisters, of course), shipping on the adapter kits looks to be $15.75. I will post shipping of adapter kit and black bars when I have some in hand to check weight.

Savago, more importantly they will protect your leg from getting crushed if you fall hard on side.

Re: Available now Gold Wing Crash Bar to ST1300 Adapter Plates and Hardware $48 + shi

Hi Martin,

I've been looking for an adapter to install my GL1800 crash bars to my ST, but the other providers have none in stock or have gone out of business. How can I go about ordering a set?

Well, the Honda engine guard under the tip-over wing built into the fairing serves this purpose first and foremost. The add-on GL800 bars are additional protection behind the leg so they do protect the saddlebag as well as offering more leg protection. An ST1300 dropped on it's side at a stop or at low speed will not crush a leg/ankle or hit the bag or mirror with just the stock engine guards. The rear bars are just more of it.

Just a heads up I will be able to ship next week but I am doing a bit of touring between July 14 and aug. 4, riding the St up to Alberta and BC so if you're on fence get yours now.

Re: Available now Gold Wing Crash Bar to ST1300 Adapter Plates and Hardware $48 + shi

So pleased with my newly installed Gold Wing Crash Bars! I took the kit brackets to a metal polisher and he gave them a "mirror" (chrome) finish. Looks great with the black powder-coat bars. Quick question... after doing my best to "twist" it, the left bar is still very close to the pannier - I believe it touches without a notebook paper space between. No problem getting the saddlebag on, but has anyone reported problems with the pannier case cracking over time?

As much as I like to have these for their functionality, I get thrown off by the curve of them. If they wrapped around the bag towards the rear instead of forward I'd be all over these.
