How do you, or can you, lower the ST1100?

I've lost 1" in height in the past 2 yeas and can't flat foot the ST1100 anymore. I don't want to get ride of the best bike in the world so can I lower it?

(without letting air out of the tires)

How does one "lower" the ST1100 about 2 inches??

Thanks in advance. CK

First I would look at your seat. see if you can shave it down and also narrow the front for easier footing. Corbin saddles are lower than stock by about 2 inches.
You could remove some of the rear shock pre-load which would help. There are some shocks like the Works pro-racer that can be lowered with a shim.
Lowering the seat height doesn't reduce ground clearance, almost everything else does.

A lowered Works shock will get you about 1 1/4 inch lower. A 60 series tire will get you about .6 of an inch. Raise the forks in the triple trees 3/4 an inch to help balance things a little.
