I am away from home and don't have my service manual. If someone could please post the sequence I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. :bow1:

1. Axle bolt to 58 lb ft (right side)
2. Right side axle pinch bolt to 16 lb ft
3. Apply front brake and bounce the front fork up and down. Check front brake operation by applying hand lever and pedal.
4. Tighten left axle pinch bolt to 16 lb ft.
5. Make sure the left axle end is flush with fork leg.
6. Check brake disk to caliper bracket clearance on each side after installation. should be at least. 0.7 mm or .03 in
7. Apply front and rear brake several times and check clearance again.

Copied from my 2010 service manual.

All that said, I recently had a discussion w/ John Heath. My left axle end is ever so slightly recessed from the machined round cut into the flat part of the lower fork. I bounced it several times and making it flush seems to bind the fork leg. John's is the same way. Both our bikes are happy w/ ok clearance for brake calipers with the axle slightly recessed (1/32"?). The manual is not clear on whether the axle is to be flush with the flat or the machined recess (call it a counterbore). My interpretation of the manual is flush w/ the flat, but my bike is not happy that way. YMMV.
