Riders are now spread all over North America ... California to Newfoundland! They're in most states and many provinces ...

The image below doesn't show the riders who traipsed thru Ontario (Kendoo being one of them), Quebec, & the corner of BC.

I'm off work this week and just had another opportunity to say a very quick "hello, ride safe" to one of the competitors coming through to snag the bonus near my house. He's riding in his third IBR, was all smiles when I said I was following along at home and is in good spirits in spite of admitting that he isn't doing too well on points.

Had the rare opportunity to see one of the IBR riders pass through North Bay heading towards the Sault. He made good time on his GSA because there was no way I was catching him after I spin around just having noticed him.

Looking at the overhead imagery in that area and matching it up with her blog, I'd reckon that's what I was seeing. Couple goat tracks and some trails carved by off-roaders, not much else. Grand solitude, but not a good place to be needing assistance. Good thinking on her part to have lit up the HELP beacon.

Patiently awaiting the results tonight!! Kendo rolled into the barn around 1:00 am. See iron butt FB from his wife! Had a smile that would crack lips!! Lol

After finishing my SS1k from Dallas to Minneapolis last night, I rode over to the IBR hotel this afternoon. Met up with Ken and we chatted for a while. He's doing great and had a really good leg 3. His FJR ran perfect. Seems like he's done quite well for an IBR rookie.

I was able to score a ticket for tonight's sold out banquet! I'm really looking forward to that... should be quite the show.

I probably won't ever do an IBR but this has been a really fun and learning experience.

I saw that the Goose in Wawa was one of the bonus point locations, we where in Wawa on June 30 and the goose was covered with a large tarp to be unveiled on July 1 as part of the Canada Day celebrations. Hope no riders where up there to take a photo of the tarp.
