Replacing clutch

Hi I'm just replacing the plates pulled the basket out when I did not have to putting back well stuck trying to line those 4 dowels on the oil plate to the basket wound it anti to connect to the cogs then how to get on these dowels book says screwdriver to move the oil cog but how any help needed thanks

I haven't done this on my ST, but have on my VTR. I wonder if you have already pushed the clutch back in too far so there is pressure on the oil pump dowels that stop them turning? Maybe pull the clutch back out a little first then try again. The manual says to turn the oil pump while inserting the clutch. so that the dowels can engage with the holes.
