74 mile day. Started in Alpine up & over Tincup Pass to the Outhouse, ATV trail (cornice snowdrift at top..slight detour) to main road north of Tincup, Union Park, Cumberland Pass, Pitkin for a late lunch & then back to Alpine via Hancock Pass.
Tincup, Cumberland & Hancock Passes all over 12,000'.
Very rocky , physical ride. Me on my street legal 04 Honda CRF250X w/ Rekluse auto clutch & rear handbrake, my two buddies on their GasGas 250 2 strokes, one w/ a Rekluse. All of us running a trials tire in the rear.
In 5 rides in 15 years the 1st time did not rain on us!!
This is a very special area of Colorado. Pitkin is a very nice mountain town...the pic is of the General Store.
The other pic is at the summit of the ATV trail looking north into Taylor Reservoir.
