The fairing has a nice more modern look. The 'forks' are definitely unattractive.

The "forks" of that design are said to have no dive in hard braking. Actually a design used in a number of other brand bikes many years ago. But the upper fairing is VERY familiar, and one I happen to really like...

If some reports are true about the new GW line having all LED lights from headlights to tail (about time) you can see what that looks like at MNSTOC since that is exactly what Honda did on my bike.

yes
I believe that, if the fork deal is correct, that it recognizes the fact that so very many Hondas are being "triked out" such fork design is far superior for trike or sidecar applications that telescopic.

Have fun!

I highly doubt that Honda would put such a front end on a very popular two-wheel platform because some people decide to make it a three-wheel platform.

My money would be on Honda believing it provides better ride performance over traditional forks for a big two-wheeled turn key tourer putting performance over someone's view of aesthetics. It's a look I could easily get used to.

If this comes to a production bike it will be interesting to read actual objective ride reports.

LOL.. another photoshop expert(?) at work.. I don't think Honda would do that to it's flagship.. but, stranger things have happened.

Which ever way Honda goes on the new Gold Wing, after owning 7 and my wife 5, I have NO desire to have another one. I'll just continue on my way on my Versys 650 LT :) :)

The closest I might ever get to a GW would be an F6B. I love the look and especially the fit. A standard Wing is just too heavy for the seat height for me. Not to mention it has a big footprint.

I don't see it. That picture has been wandering around the internet for at least three years.

Dennis, you need to understand Wingers. When they think there is something new coming out, they go bananas. I know the affect because after owning 12 of them between my wife and I, we've been there.

But now that I've got my Versys 650 LT, have NO desire to partake in any exciting news about a Wing.

Huh. Given the number of Wing owners past and present on this site I'm surprised that pic took this long to surface here.

I don't think STers would be any different if a pic of a 2017/2018 ST popped up. There'd be a lot of buzz even if only to comment how late Honda was or how ugly the new ST is. But I don't think we have to worry about that happening.
