I need to mount a fuse block to tidy up my wiring (USB, GPS, heated gear, etc). I'm looking at Curt's Fuzeblock FZ-1.

If you've mounted something similar on your ST1100, where did you put it. Seems to most likely spot is under the seat in the back (that's where I keep my tire repair kit), but wanted to know if there were any better locations.

I've searched the forum but didn't find much discussing location on an ST1100.

Thanks,
Paul

Paul - I chose to put mine in the tailpiece so that if I needed to get to it on the road, I just have to remove the seat. Some folks put them in one of the fairing pockets up front. If I was going to do that, I'd put it in the right locking one since it is a little more weather proof. Some folks say you can bury it under the bodywork because if everything is done right, you won't need to get to it. But that does not take in to consideration the fact that heated gear, accessories, etc. can fail and blow a fuse. :D

Mines in the tail piece. It's Velcrod to the flap to get to the tailights. I have enough lead wire to allow me to bring it forward for easier access to the fuses. And when done just attach it back to the flap
