As I logged on today, I pulled up one of the photos shown and found this 2017 ride report. Although late, thanks to drbuzzard for the photos of rather unusual places and items he found on his short weekend jaunt. He has a good eye for the unusual, and his commentary is enjoyable.
thank you still a badger I plan on going back to Pontiac, IL and riding RT-66 to ST. Louis this year. a few from a trip in MO. last june

thanks for the offer, I've been thinking of riding RT-66 from the ST. Louis area back to Pontiac this year for a birthday ride
