The correct battery spec is YTZ14S. That specifies the size of the battery. Be careful with a nearly identical battery number. It may not fit.

I have not. However, I had to replace may OEM battery last fall and after much searching realized that many, cheap replacement batteries do not have the rated 230 CCA that the OEM battery came with. I was able to find several aftermarket batteries that had the needed 230 CCA, at about 1/2 the cost, or less, of the OEM.

On my aftermarket battery I have not had any issues, so far. But, for $40 delivered I was willing to take the gamble. I do keep it on a Battery Tender when not in use.

Is it really 12ah, or 12ah equivalent?? Does it give a watt-hr rating?

I personally wouldn't worry to much about the CCA, unless you often ride your bike at 0° C. That is all that it measures, power at freezing, which may or may not be an indicator of power at above freezing.
