Everyone seems to be OOS on the Z6 110/80-18 with no restock in sight.
I recently got a new rear Z6, what are your recommendations for a good front mate for it?

good to know there's at least a replacement, what happened to the Z7 ???

There's something about the way Metzelers transition into the corners that I've preferred them on every bike I've owned back to the ME33 Lazer era (1982-ish, I think they're still available today though). I don't buy them exclusively, but whenever I go back to them I always notice a difference in the way the bike steers that I find appealing.

The Pirelli Angel GT is said (by a good friend who works for the local Metzeler importers) to be effectively a re-badged Z8 as well. I'm on my second one on the front of my ST11 and love it to bits. Very confident and steady into bends. Currently paired with a T30 Evo on the back. My experience on my other bikes is that the T30 Evo is a harder riding tyre than the Z8 but it feels fine on the back of the ST and lots better than the cross-ply BT020 that it replaced, but for me it's wearing pretty fast. Best S/T tyres I have used are the Roadtec 01's but they don't come in ST1100 sizes sadly.

I'd agree with Terry, the T30 Evo is worth a try but like he says you notice they are hard whilst riding. I have noticed the difference over the 023's. If you've got good smooth roads you'll be ok, personally next time I'll either go back to 023's or an alternative, I hear Avon have a new tyre called.........an ST, got to be worth a try if the sizes are right.

Thanks all. Looks like I'll go with the Z8 until they're also no longer available (thanks for the link Al st1100).
After that I might try a pair of Bridgestone Exedras, hearing good things about them too.

I just finished a set of T30 Evo's and they are a good tire.

Replaced them with a set of Z6's I ordered 3 - 4 months ago, probably the last time I'll get to use them. Nice tire.

Revzilla shows front as OOS and most other sizes as unavailable.

Just took a Z6 off the rear of my 2005 and replaced it with a T-30GT. I was thrilled with the Z6...excellent handling and wear characteristics . I expected 4-5k and it got 7k+miles. If I get 5k out of this T-30 I'll be lucky.

Looking to replace my Metzeler Z6s. Options include Z8s and Pirelli Angel GTs. Anyone have experience with either or, better yet, both?

The Metzeler Z6 is still available for the ST1100 rear, 160/70 17. I just had one delivered today, from American Moto Tire. When I inquired about availability, they said, if it adds to the cart, it's good. They have about 60, spread in a number of warehouses! The mfg date is October 2018, so not too old. I'm pairing it with a Z8.
