I really hope this blows out soon. Can't go outside, can't ride, can't mow the lawn, can't see the sun, can't see the lake, heck can't breathe either!!!! Every thing is orange brown color......
Pic from two days ago...with smoke _20170829_191422.jpg still can see across the lake.

This is today.....IMG_20170905_073625.jpg. Can't see the edge of the lake even....... aaaahhhhh...... claustrophobic!!!!!!! Been running the furnace fan for two weeks straight to filter out the smoke...

I suppose it could be worse........ thoughts to those in TX and to all the fire fighters....!!!

Last Friday, when Chris and I were leaving Reno and heading down to Elk Grove (Just south of Sacramento) we saw a lot of the same. In fact, even after we left EG, it was really hazy/smoggy! Cleared once out of the Central Valley.

We are having a pretty slow fire season this year (knock on wood), but yesterday it was REALLY smokey here in Colorado from all of the fires northwest of us :tent6:

In 2003 Cindy and I took the kids camping in our old pop up trailer in Nova Scotia. I remember one very windy night at Blomidon Provincial Park parked high above the Bay of Fundy watching the sun set through crimson skies. It was caused by the smoke from the wildfires in B.C. that year! This year (I've heard) is even worse!

Yup it's the worst season in the province's history.

Geeze. That's brutal. You both need to get out of there for a few days. Bring Maggie along.

I'm in Vancouver, WA. Here's what I woke up to when I went to my car this morning.
ASH 1.jpgASH 2.jpg

On the streets, it looked like someone had a camp fire at the beach. When cars would go by they would leave a cloud of "dust" in their wake. It reminded me of when Mount St. Helens blew up, and all of the ash that came down.

I saw this and thought maybe you were smoking a Cheech and Chong bong Todd. That is a lot of smoke! I hope that clears up by next month.
I hope everyone stays safe. And that damage is as minimal as possible.
Hopefully I can bring some of this unbelievable nice weather I am having here with me when I come next month.

JRob and I met up this morning and were considering riding for some pie in Kendrick, ID. Air is so bad we opted for a long breakfast down the street.

AQ in Spokane hit 301, but Kendrick was 440!!!

How's your air???? Seems everywhere is smokey.....
Not near as bad as you all right now....a bit muggy though - but bright sunny days and a breeze keepin that crap away...we got a better air report today. Has been a bit warm and smoggy Some parts of the Sacramento valley got issues. coast or SF is nice right now too. only good short ride away.

Don't be too quick... ask about their crime rate or what happens if you don't lock your car!
