Garmin Zumo 450 repairs fixes???

Hello All,

I'm seeking the wisdom of the forum. I have a Garmin Zumo 450. Was working great up until 2 days ago. Now, it's slow to acquire satellites, slow to draw maps and the touch screen stopped working. The four buttons on the left sill appear to function properly.
I contacted Garmin support. They are; "somewhat limited in the options since this model is no longer available and it may be a hardware failure." Bummer. They are suggesting I attempt to delete the gupdate.gcd file by connecting to my computer and following their steps. I will try this tonight.

I'm looking for other suggestion from members who may have experienced the same issue I am.

Thanks,
Tom

Contact Chris at palmdr.com. I've never used his services, but he enjoys a great reputation. Good luck.
