I posted the link to this video quite a while ago, but if you did not see it is worth watching and pretty amazing.

Are we counting wind chill or just ambient air temp? I only ask because it has gotten I to the teens and lower here in northern Virginia, but with wind chill it can dip into sub zero temps. . .
Umm.. you do realize we are talking about riding motorcycles. The wind chill things is kind of equalizied for all of us in this common environment.

I do a 45 mile commute, usually in 42 minutes. With 40 miles on the interstate done before rush-hour, so no traffic to slow me down and prevent me from enjoying the breeze flowing through my hair. Yep... wind-chill is real! Brrr....

The temp display on the dash read 37deg at 03:45 when I left for work this morning (22 mile ride). Jeans, Tourmaster jacket and liner, fleece sweatshirt, Tourmaster cold weather gloves (no heated grips).

Sure I always had fun with it, and was sad to see it's demise. Encourages me to ride when it gets really cold (not that I need a lot of encouragement lol)

39 for my 26 mile commute on the FJ09. Heated grips, WnS liner and gloves (not powered) w Tourmaster Transition 4 and Firstgear HT Overpants, TCX X-five boots and Shoei Neotech. And there was pea-soup fog to top it off!

Wind protection on the FJ has much to be desired...

If I switch the °F to °C, those temps start looking like "normal" summer time for me.
Winter season is never a problem here where I Live *... some extra layers and that is it
The real records are on july-agust... over 110 °F every time, easily
(* Guaymas, Sonora, México)

On February 23rd 2017 it was 24°F out. I put on my heated jacket, insulated blizzard proof carharts, a couple long sleeve shirts, my O'Neal motorcycle boots with 2 pairs of wool socks, insulated and windproof gloves, insulated face mask and helmet. With all the gear on, I could hardly move. I rode my previous bike which was a Kawasaki ninja EX500 for about 15 miles. I did have heated grips I installed. I was actually not that cold when I got home. The wife said I was crazy. And I was OK with that.
