Sheesh, seems one after another these days!

My oldest son's father-in-law (Mark) collapsed this morning and they rushed him to the hospital. It doesn't look too good at this point. According to their initial findings, he has bleeding of the brain.

My son said that the Dr. told them the 50% of the cases like this don't make it and 45% of those that do, are never the same.

Please add Mark to your prayers!

Thank you!

Thank you everyone.

We received a little more info, it looks like he had a stroke this morning. Currently he's in a coma and they moved him down to UCSD Medical. They are expecting to do an operation in the morning.

BTW, Mark is only 62.

Thanks again everyone! They are paying off!

My son, Bobby, called last night, sounds like Mark is doing much better. The next couple of days will tell us for sure though.

They said that a blood vessel that supplies blood to the brain, burst, causing the stroke/issues. They had to operate yesterday to put "coils" around it and that seems to be doing the trick.

Also, he has an issue with one of his lungs too, so they are keeping a close eye on that as well.

Overall they (Drs & family of course) are excited about his progress!

Bob, I don't know how I missed this until now. I'm very glad to hear he's doing better and am sending good thoughts his way for a full recovery.

Thanks everyone.

Latest update, he's of course, still in recovery mode and yesterday didn't go as well as hoped.

According to my son, it's very iffy at this point. As the Dr told them, two steps forward, one step back.

So please continue to keep him in your prayers!
