Hello from |Ireland. Tried get on introduction but couldn't find the start thread option.
Anyway Have 04 St13 with only 27k Miles on, After selling my 02 with 97k miles on.
Anyway hers the issue, turn on ignition and temp bars are up to four/five flashing.
This is on cold engine then when bike warms up it sits at its normal three bars.
I have topped up coolant and fan is working fine after idling for a while fan kicks in.
Any ideas would be welcome. thanks

Might be a battery issue... I don't remember seeing temp bar issues like that on a cold engine..

When my battery started to go......the clock and trip meters would reset when I hit the starter button.....

I'm pretty sure four bars at cold is related to wiring problems to the ECU from the coolant temperature sensor. Too much resistance feeds an overtemp signal. Perhaps a bit of vibration from the running engine clears up the dodgy wiring problem and the sensor signal becomes "normal ".
