Was lucky enough to make contact with my buddy from 35 year's ago who has sent me some photos of our bikes from 1980. The one of me attempting to wheelie his Suzuki and the beach photos were taken in Brixham in Devon where we met up with our girlfriends for a weeks holiday. The Two featuring my RD were taken in the village of Meriden near Coventry where I lived at the time.

Not sure which RD that you had but my first bike was an RD400. I loved that bike,
sometimes wish I still had it.

Although I wanted a RD350/400, all I ever had was a couple of 1972 DS7 250

Amazing when we think about our first bikes or our bikes from our childhood.
It seems they take on epic proportions.
And I'm likewise guilty.
I'd love to have a couple of them back, as well as my youth. :)

Nice air cooled two strokes, I particularly like the look of the RD, I had the 400 in the same colour scheme. What a beautiful sound and smell they made. I remember the piston of the 400 being spread all over lane 3 of the M6 at Sandbach. Happy Days.
