Holy Moly! Hope you haven't jumped back in too soon!
With the cooler weather and earlier sunset I'm not to keen on riding long hours. I'm tempted to ride up for a lookie-loo session if that's allows. Then maybe schedule a ride-in purchase (during longer days!).
Best of luck to you!
Have got my machine up to shape. Have been sitting here with my feet up the past 3 days and not feeling none to great.
Mounted the spot mirrors on each rear view mirror this afternoon. And took one look into them, can see the position of my helmet sun screen while seated. Chortle chortle.
Came back in from the garage and called RDL, no cancellations for a drive in this week. Still down for the middle of January. Then commenced with putting together a ride checklist. When I fly, first thing I check is the weather.
The temperatures are steadily dropping and not only dropping, but approaching freezing. And as much as I like to drive at night, I don't have a problem with cold weather freezing me, but I do have a problem pushing wheels on slippery slopes. Not much give for contingencies doing 566 miles even in the daylight hours of the San Joaquin Valley this time of year.
I pushed a Grumman into icing alley over Gorman once upon a time. When the windshield ices over in less than 30 seconds, swore not to push into unsafe conditions ever again. SAFETY has to come first.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, ST Gui, for exercising JUDGEMENT to me. You are spot on. This saddle can wait for warmer weather. I am going to hold off until I can appreciate better riding conditions. I may be slow, but your words hit me like a lightning bolt this afternoon. THANKS.
There are no old bold pilots, that goes for driving this ST also. JUDGEMENT never came easy for me. Thanks again for waking me up. RIDE SAFETY begins way before actually hopping on the bike. I'm breathing again. I was headed up the proverbial creek, and without studded tires!
