I have two 2007 STs in my shop. Needing to raise some funds to keep my rally addiction from hitting the household budget, so i am thinking of getting rid of the higher mileage one. Curious of the best way to do that.
The bike is currently set up for rallying with under mirror lights, fork lights, LED headlights, aftermarket V-stream windscreen, mounting spot for 2 gps's, highway pegs, tip over bars, and a color matched V46 topcase. Currently has a russell seat, baker air wings, voltmeter, some really cool switches and a tank bag. Wired for heated gear, fuse block, and charging pigtail. Probably some other stuff too. Bike finished 22nd in the 2015 IBR. So it seems my choices are:
1. Return to stock and sell (and sell farkles separately)
2. Sell as is
3. Part out and sell a piece at a time
The bike is sound, and I would literally ride it anywhere in North America without a reservation. The bike does have 173,000 miles on it and that will scare some folks away.
