I looked it up today. For the last 24 years I worked, I worked in over the road sales, 3 states/Ohio,Ky and Ind and drove my company Honda cars an average of 48,000 miles a year, and for fun my personal motorcycles an average of 11,000 miles a year. I retired in 2013. Since that time I have driven my personal Honda truck 14,000 miles (more than I would have thought) ... but I have ridden my Honda street bikes 116,000 miles. Life is in balance now.

Mickey, I agree with you "Life is in balance". I don't have mileages, but I have more on the bike then the car, but not the 10 to 1 ratio you have. Did you beat Ray this year?

Ron, you can't beat Ray, he's a great guy, but I believe I will have ridden more miles than he did this year. I'm at 28,130 and he is just over 20,000 on the forum mileage tracker. Even if he rides to Ga for New Years this year, I don't think he can catch me on mileage, unless he goes via California lol. Looking forward to meeting Ray for pie soon.

Been a great year as far as riding goes. Heck, been a great 4 1/2 years. Retirement is good!

Looking forward to 2018

So what you’re also say is that you’re a Honda man [emoji1]

Yea, pretty much lol. Been riding Honda motorcycles since 1966 and driving Honda cars/truck since 1991. Also have a Honda generator, and a Honda Rancher 4 wheeler I plow snow on the driveway with. Never been disapointed with a Honda product so far....

Excellent sentiments.
For the last 11 years I worked, I rode in unless rain was a sure thing...which in my part of Texas isn't all that often. Within ten minutes of firing up in the afternoon, work issues were a distant memory. Same thing that happens to me when I am working on one.

I second (third?) this.
I find when I have to take my truck to work I come home still engrossed in work thoughts.
When I ride that never happens.

Hmm, Last Ride of the Year via CA..... Thanks for the compliment, Mickey. You will be the Ohio ST mileage champ this year!

Since retiring about 6 years ago, my bike to car mileage ratio has been about a 2.5 to 1 ratio - a fun balance.

I put 12,300 miles on mt ST and @3500 on my RT. I'd say well over 75% of these were riding to work. 40 miles back and forth to my regular job and 100 miles back and forth coaching on the weekends. I put @ 6,000 miles on my truck this year.

I bought a used gmc safari van back in '13, it had 134,000 miles on it then and just over 154,000 now. I got the mighty ST 1300 in '15 with 25,151 miles on it and have about 59,000 it now. the ride to work and back home is only nine miles going the long way
