If any member who has the Tupperware off of there bike could measure the length of the right mirror mounting stem that would be greatly appreciated. I have a slight gap (3mm) between the gray lockable pocket fairing and the cowl. The stem on the right side measures 9cm (3.5) inches.

The left one is 8.5cm.
The bike in question is a 97 ST1100 ABS

Many thanks

I have a fairing stay in my hand Robert. Right measures +/- .. 8.9 cm. Kinda depends on the placement of the ruler.

Can be a bit difficult to tell.
I believe this bike has sustained some front end damage, I suspect this because the instrument cluster had a broken mounting tab on the left side, the headlight had a broken mounting tab on the right side. The underbelly cowling and the lower cowling have trouble mating up on the right side and there is a crack in the lower cowling. I have replaced the instrument cluster and the headlamp last winter, nothing was binding when I installed them. I have the winter to try and sort it out. In the meantime I have to deal with all the red dust that's in every nook and cranny!
