I remember that beautiful lake although it was cloudy and rainy when I rode past it -

Actually I was getting a bit sick of constant blue skies and hot weather. I need to work on either my riding gear (maybe get some mesh pants/jacket) or put the shorter screen back on. Only had decent rain on my last riding day on the way home, and it was a bit of a relief!

Here's one I took yesterday afternoon, at a nearby salt lake. That patch of oil is absolutely nothing to do with me!

Upt' North: I had to zoom in quite a bit, but I saw too much valve cover on the pic you posted page 1. Did you have no mid fairing installed?

we still have frozen lakes and white stuff on the ground.... in a months time the weather will tease us, making it really tempting to go out and ride. A couple of challenges, the roads will still have a lot of sand in the corners from the winter sand/salt program. Cage drivers need to get use to bikers on the roads again. Rest assured there are many roads to explore, photos to be taken next to water. ;)

Nothing fancy here, but in honor of the first ride f the year...
You can see there is still some ice on the lake.
And some brave souls are camping already!

Up in the Sierras of California somewhere. I think it might be Kinney Reservoir. That would be Ebbett's Peak.

All right I'll play along too. I just got back from a 4000km 8-day trip from my Auckland home to the southern most tip of the South Island, here in New Zealand. Plenty of nice lake photos, this one is Lake Pukaki, the brilliant blue is due to being fed from a glacier in the Southern Alps.
Good to see another Kiwi any time in Napier let me know 021 899 884
