In the early stages of planning a route for a smokey mountain trip this summer (late July) and looking for suggestions for KY from some locals. My preliminary route has me coming into KY from the East out of VA, riding the back of the dragon before heading to KY, Will be headed north on 52 up to Louisa, taking 32 over to Sandy Hook then Bert T Combs Mountain Pkwy to get to the northern part of Daniel Boone National Forest. Riding the forest all the way down to TN.
My route through the forest is:
1139 south to 1057 to 213 to 52 to 89 to 490 to 25 to 192 to 1193 to 90 to 700 to 679 to 1673 to 92 to 27
Are all these good paved roads? Are there certain "must ride" parts of the forest? Any help would be appreciated.
I have attached a map view for some clarity. Looking for fun curvy roads to ride. I have the Nada Tunnel in the route
