I am getting questions about not being able to find the Evitek G6 bulb. I too needed to get another set and could not find them either. So I did some looking around.

There is a lot more stuff out there now and confusing!

In 2017 they came out with the T8 bulb with a fan and the S1 bulb without a fan.
In 2018 they came out with the F2 bulb with a fan and now the M1 bulb.

G6 is 22 watts, tall beam, shortest reach.
S1 is 22 watts, mid beam
T8 is 25 watts, mid beam
F2 is 30 watts, thin beam, most focus, more light to the horizon. This one is most like the original Halogen bulb....

M1 is 25 watts, thin beam, most focus, like F2 but in the T8 package..... <----- This will be the one to watch!!!!
E1 is 25 watts , thin beam, most focus, (maybe reduced dark spot) like the S1 - no fan. not yet tested.

The F2 is about 50% brighter and is narrower focused than the G6.

If you double the power you will only see 50% further, If you cut the beam angle in half you will see twice as far...

Is it worth throwing away the G6 and getting the F2? I would say NO, since the improvement is really only slightly noticeable.

If you just want the best available in 2018, just look for the F2 led or the newer M1 (mini led headlight). It looks like this and will be sold under different labels.

It should be available soon on amazon from Evitek.

updated link for the best....

Tech differences

The G6 had a thick heatspreader sandwiched between two circuitboards. The F2 has one circuit board between two heatspreders. The plus is better focus, the minus is higher spot temperature.
So it will take some time to prove long term reliability. I just swapped out my G6's and put in a set of F2's. I will keep the G6's in my top box just in case....

Update: I took the extra g6's out of my top box, they will not be needed, the XD16 cree LEDs are thermally more efficient than the previous chips and is why this configuration will define all future Led bulbs.

IMHO -- The newer M1 will most likely be the one to define what a DOT compliant LED bulb should be. WOW!
Hopefully, we will not have to wait a decade for it to get through the legal mill.....!

I'm waiting for the new LED/Modulator bulb.

The one that allows you to use a regular non LED Modulator, but has a separate wire to light up a LED light with less than half the power of the low beam (that stays on always, so when the modulator modulates, the Main LEDs go out, but this light is still on. (Giving it that "modulating effect" and that same wire to the "always on bulb" keeps the fans running all the time, so they don't modulate with the headlights.

Now how hard would that be to develop? :think1:

I've very happy with the G6s. Amazon also had them for my car (H5/9006?) but no more. Maybe there'll be an F2 version.

Coming back from a ride on Sunday I had my 'Wing buddy ride my ST away and back so I could see my aux brake lights and the Eviteks with the clear/white/amber switchbacks (and my amber position lights). They really stand out. My brake light strobe is particularly noticeable.

Thanks for the update. My three sets of G6s are still working well and I have a 'spare' set just in case. But it's good to know what the replacement will be when needed.
With the rate of change in LED lighting, Phil, by the time you need replacements, there will be yet another generation or three out there.

go to the bottom of page, click on Cindy Z.

Also, the F2 is 36 Watts, not 30.

That is what the label says, but the ones that i have measured start out at 32 watts and drops after a few minutes to 30 watts and holds there. I usually compare lights by actual input watts since that is the easiest to verify by measurement. I then use a light meter to compare lights, but because there are so many variables I just do a comparative measurement. Bottom line is these are as good if not better than the new led and Hid systems in the newest cars on the road... It is a function of how the H4 lighting system is better than the others. Just my opinion...

Hi. The only contact I can see is nick Lin. I tried buying a set and he tells me they only sell to trade, even though the advert says minimum buy is just one set and I bought the g6s direct from Cindy without any problems. Frustrating

Amazon is OOS on the F2. Now saying they don't know when or if they'll have more. I thought the Amazon price was $49 + applicable tax and shipping.

F2's arrived in today's mail. Nice box. Will be a couple of weeks before I can get around to installing them. Kind of surprising that the fan does not have a guard or screen of some kind. The instructions say be careful not to touch it,,, or you might impede the fans performance,,,, Cat'
