Bought another ST1100

Hi all not been on for a bit. Bought another st1100w 99 model.

Think it may be a parallel import. Has the following on section 3 of V5:

Declared new in Great Britain by independent importer.

VIN number is JH2SC26U2WM800040.

Is this a parallel Australian or Canadian?

The right hand switch gear has no headlight switch either. Just running lights.

Are there any differences in spec if this is the case or just the same UK spec.

Any insight or help appreciated.

A NEW unused ST1100? How interesting! In 1984 I had a shot at a new crated '79 six cylinder Honda at the dealer of $3700 but passed. There were 3 of them...

No. It's used. 49500 miles on clock.

Actually, probably better with the mileage on it vs it sitting all those years. ~ 50K miles is nothing for these bikes.

If miles on the clock, it won't be a Canadian model unless the instrument cluster has been changed. We do kilometres here. True we don't have a headlamp switch either.

Thanks man. It's just the statement on the v5 part 3 got me wondering plus the lack of headlamp switch.

When I look at Clymers it appears to be a 1999 Australian model with ABS they start at JH2SC26U*XM850001 (on) but in your number you have a W instead of an X ???
