Well I finally got another bike to replace my '91 ST100. Picked up my brothers 2010 BMW K1300GT "Premium" (31K mi.). He got a NEW 1600GTL and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I've trusted mother Honda for a long time and she never let me down or left me stranded. Totaled the '03 ST13 and then went to the ST11 which fit better but not quite as "sporty" as the 13. I still have the ST11 but it's for sale, don't have room for 3 bikes (still have the '07 VFR), love 'em all but something has to go. Heard lots of stories on the reliability of the BMW's particularly the K12 & 13's. From what I can tell most of the issues had been resolved for the 2010's, we'll see. Rode it home (7mi.) from my brothers two weeks ago when there was no snow/ice on the roads... what a motor! Hope it turns out to be at least somewhat reliable, now if I can just afford the maintenance.
Comments and advice always welcome.

Mike

Congrats on your new ride. I’ve always like the K1300. Very good looking bike to me.
I think the final drive problems were sorted out by 2010. And any bike you take to a dealer will cost you a lot of money. I Don’t care who makes it.
Ride what you like and enjoy it.

Good luck with your new machine and health to enjoy, you've still got a mighty Honda V4 in the stable anyway.

Grats on your new to you bike. The K1300GT is a "little" faster than an ST13, to put it mildly. Enjoy.
