Not sure if this will be a possible solution to failing ST1300 shield mechanisms but.... maybe Honda used similar parts... just a thought..

Until I can see one up close and personal, it would be hard to tell from that. But you just never know! :D

Yup, I think the ST1300 was Honda's first attempt at an electric shield... I think.. so, maybe they built on some of those same fundamentals, maybe the screw drive could be used somehow to replace one on an ST1300... just throwing that out there in case one from a wrecked wing could be salvaged at some point. Heck, they've probably already sold more 2018 wings than ST1300s lol.

Well, if it could be retrofitted, that would be great.

Looks like the price is about the same.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they had come up with a new ST1300 windshield mechanism, then decided that they weren't making anymore ST1300s and had to find some way to get rid of all those new mechanisms, and decided they could just put them on the Goldwing! :rofl1:
