I plan on changing out my RH switch to a police switch in the coming week. Can I reuse the existing throttle cables or do I have get throttle cables specific to a police switch?

Thanks.

Had no issues on the 1100, throttle tube and cables fitted spot on.

... transmitted from a CAT S60 thing ...

If you're not sure go to one of the part houses sites and see if there is a different part number for both models or are they the same.

With the ST1300, when I mounted a cop switch on my 2012, I had to replace not only the cables, but also the handlebars!

The cop bars are about 1/2" longer to accommodate the larger switch.

Looks like my bike already came with the longer right side handlebar!
