Er— Grommets

That's better. If you must drill a hole in the Tup how do you select a proper fitting grommet to help precent chaffing wire insulation and maintain some water tight integrity (along with some silicone sealer or the like)?

I've tried it the past and either the material is too thick for the grommet or the hole is too big. So in my advanced years it occurred to me that manufacturers go to the effort to match the grommet to the hole and material. I'd like to do the same.

What say you? (Now for a bit of Gorgonzola.)

Our local Ace Hardware store has a pretty good selection of grommets; I've always been able to find one that fits the thickness of the body material and the wire size. They're cheap, so I always buy extras, and some a bit larger and smaller than I think I need. It's good to have a small stash of these sorts of items. A little bit of silicone dielectric grease helps when the wire's a tight fit.
