What are these> Where do they go?

After taking the bike apart several weeks ago and doing a bunch of preventive maintenance, I put it back together today. When it was finished, I had these two plastic pieces left. I don't remember where they went. They are the exact same, just flipped over.

I'm thinking they went somewhere underneath the upper cowl. Any help?

They may be the rubber caps on the top of the fork tubes.
