I've recovered the STOC # database, but as yet haven't completed the access to it. But it is intact, no worries.

Until I come up with a way to make it user-update-able, if you want a STOC#, just
send me a PM, here or on st-riders.net.

Include:
  • your real name,
  • email address,
  • your city,
  • state (province, region, etc)
  • country,
  • telephone number (optional) and
  • if you have a name for your STeed, that name.

I'll add you to the database and issue you a new STOC #.

Hopefully I'll get time to do a proper registration system soon.

Thanks for your patience!

Does more than one copy of the STOC # database exist? Meaning if Don's house burned to the ground tomorrow, would the STOC database still exist? And if it does (e.g. Don keeps it in the Cloud) does anyone know how to access it if Don meets an untimely demise?

What is the purpose/function of a STOC number?
Is it needed to access or accomplish something?
I do not recall ever having read what purpose it serves.

IIRC, a STOC number is required in order to register at ST-Riders.net.

Beyond that it is a cachet, and a way for long-time ST enthusiasts to identify themselves as such. It is also, now, an anachronism.

For identification to local police.

It shows the local police that you are exempt from speed limits and passing restrictions.
I do not recall ever having read what purpose it serves.
If you are ever pulled over for speeding or passing on a double-yellow line, show them your STOC number and they must immediately release you without a citation or warning.
Those members here who do NOT have an STOC number, never exceed the posted speed limits, and never conduct an illegal pass.

Oh, crikey.
I must have dreamed that.
What a disppointment.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Please, be informed, that after a year on this glorious forum, and after having post more than 230 messages, I now have the great honour of beeing introduced to the ST Owner's Club (STOC).

From now on, I'll be the proud holder of STOC # 9063, with all the rights and privileges that comes with it.

As you might guess, the introduction ceremony, with champaign, caviar and lobster for everyone, has to be postpone, due to covid-19 restrictions.

Really, life has been good to me, so far.
I am very gratefull to be a member of this great bunch of friend.

Thank you.

Chris, STOC # 9063

OMG - is this Don Feyma? This is the Aussie in St. Louis. I had a candy apple red 1993 model ST1100 for 10 years and did about a million smiles on it. Then bought the 1300 from Fred Ziglar. I believe my STOC number is 399. Sold Fred's bike 10 years later and went back to my roots (R1200GS).
