I sent them a couple "contact Us" communications also , if more people do , maybe they will finally get the idea they can get some new business here off this forum and other forums for other models of bikes. I have recently seen models for GoldWings , crotch rockets of all makes , dirt bikes , Harleys , BMWs , etc. , some going back 30 years - Why not ST1300 / Pan European ? ST1100 too.

I'm thinking they probably sell them in a Lot, so if they would get back to us, we might be able to get a "Forum Order" together.

I think several of us have emailed them over the years. I think they are simply a contract house and are in no position to be taking orders from anyone but a distributor. They seem to not even bother with a courtesy "sorry" response.

OK, I'm ready to sell mine. I paid a hefty price for it a few years, so I will be asking likewise. It's just like the one shown at the link above ... or the middle one shown in the photo at the TAMS website ... silver 2003 model, black wheels with ZERO MILES, never dropped, mature rider/owner. Oh, and it's a non-ABS model. BTW, the TAMS photo shows it leaning on the sidestand. Mine can do that, but it's currently mounted to the display platform that came with it ... sits upright. I'll take some photos and list it in the classified section this weekend.

Who wants to go in for a group buy? They are $75 apiece, (not sure what shipping is) but if you buy 11 or more, you can get 30% off!

humster3d creates 3d image files, they do not "produce" scale models.
They email the file to you for that price so that you can use.
This is true, but SupraSabre might have gotten in touch with the " TAM " source that actually would have the plastic models ? hopefully : http://www.11144.tradebig.com/
"We can convert Honda 3D model into other formats, just send us a request."

Nope, I jumped the gun...sorry... I thought they were creating "Models", not "FILES"! Why would you want to pay for more than one, if it's just a "file"?

Dang, and here I thought we had something! :no1::oops:

Could it be printed on a 3d printer? Or would you have to have one to start with?
If I have the right terms?
Remember I'm an Old Fart, and don't keep up with all this new stuff.
I'm doing good to post things on this laptop.
Don't ask me to post Pix.

It is if I can't run down to the local Home Depot and have it done. ;)
The one linked in the Jay Leno article looks like it only prints plastic. So they would use their plastic print as a buck for making a casting mold, or simply as a guide for fabrication. There are some situations for which the plastic print may be suitable as is.
The metal printers cost $1M and higher, but there is a market for them. If you're set up for long periods in a remote location, you may have light fabricating, machining and welding resources for performing repairs. But if you need a part which is beyond the capabilities of the equipment on hand, metal-printing it could be an option, especially if the part is mission critical.

I was wanting to build a 3D virtual model of a toy ST1300 and using Recap, and then print it out on my small 3D printer in plastic.

Now, if I could just find somebody to take a bunch of pictures of an existing ST1300 toy model, then I'd have a great starting point...

But they did an awesome job with the color.

Couldn't pick a better color to model with and send out to the world...
They had to keep the cost down somehow. If they would have done it in Blue, they would have had to double the price! ;)
