I'm 5' 11", 31/32 inseam..
I had a '04 on which I installed a pair of Steed Sticks..
For me, they sat just a little too far forward. They were ok, a
lot easier on the old knees on long trips than the standard footpegs.
I still had to alternate between footpegs, Sticks, and letting my legs
dangle on long rides to keep my knees from aching.. With the Sticks,
my legs were pretty much straight ahead with no bend in the knees..
In fact, there was a little stress in the thighs from "reaching" for the sticks..
For my new St, I purchased a set of MCL Highway Wings... They
set a little closer to the seat than the Sticks, I can rest my feet on the
wings without stretching my legs, I even have a little bend in my legs..
I can rest my heels on top of the wings without "stretching" my legs..
I do believe that these are gonna be, for me, a noticeable improvement over
the sticks... I will reserve final comment until I do get a chance to make
a 200/300 mile or so run. I think the Wings in conjunction with the Russell saddle (June ride in date) are gonna be the nurts.....

I've switched from Steed Sticks to MCL Highway Blades. I was originally worried that they would be too close, but it works out fine when you can change from on the pegs to over the pegs. The way they fold away without impacting clearance also help make them a superior product.

Between the pegs, MCL risers, and a Sargent Seat high mileage days are pretty easy now.

My legs are pretty much straight out with the Steed Sticks, and they are a bit lower than the Wings. They work well for me (average height) and make those 600 mile days in the saddle comfortable.

Rackman Wings and a Russell work GREAT for me. I've got fairing air deflectors which get in the way a bit. Oh, well.
