Give Racetech a call. I think they can rebuild it with a Gold Valve for about $250. It will be much better than OEM at a very reasonable cost.

For my 2002 ST1100 I've just ordered a new Progressive 465 shock and Progressive forks springs and intend to use 7.5 weight oil in the forks. Hoping this will improve the ride and guess I'll know by mid May or so.

I got a quote yesterday for a race tech set-up for my front forks $600 for springs and gold valve kit and another $400 to install( which includes modifying anti dive and rebound pistons
I did my front forks myself. Cost for the RaceTech Gold Valve & Emulator kit was about $135 and the springs another $115. I got them either off Ebay or Amazon , not directly from RaceTech.
The $250 cost I mentioned in my previous post was for RaceTech to modify the rear shock, BTW.
