Yes, George, you can count your ST since you fearlessly take it off-road!

But for us mere mortals.....

01 650L D 606 tires, down one tooth on the front sprocket, Clarke 5 plus gallon fuel tank, Garmin 5 gps with tourtech mount. Wish I had it back, traded it for the ST, wish I would have kept it as a stable mate to the ST.:biker:

You guys are making me tear up....just sold my old KDX 200.

I'm thinking of ways to "dual sport" the ST, but the weight and ground clearance concerns me off road...guess there ain't no perfect bike!!

My 2005 Honda XL650V Transalp:

Can't wait to get back to New Zealand this winter (Kiwi summer) and fire-up that sweet V-twin power pack again. See how she rides (stripped of luggage) on this video - shot by me Downunder at the very end of 2006. Sweet Transalp!! Sure wish they'd bring them back to the US 'cause they are a blast to ride.

Starting to get more and more time on this bike. Right now it is torn down for installation of a StarCom1 intercom, GMRS, Heated Grips, and wiring the Aux lights. I have already replaced the seat with new and regeared the bike for better highway performance, and added fairing crash guards to augment the engine crash guards and a Cee Baily Tall windshield both of which are not shown in this older picture.

George I had an XT350 (too small) then KLR (too blah) now DL1000 (too heavy) next? I like the idea of the new BMW 800GS, but I'm afraid of BMW realiability issues.

Being newly retired, the wife and I plan to take the travel trailer and some toys on the road this year. We have kayaks in addition to my bikes and I wanted something lighter than the ST to take on the road. My choice was a 2006
DL-650. It has been so far, but has not been off-road.
