Good & Bad farkles

Small bungees criss-crossed to keep liners in lid section. This allows the rest of the pannier for important things like donuts .....

Hey, not a fair farkle since ST1100 owners can't call it a farkle as it comes standard like that on the ST1100's, although we have them on both the inside and the lid of each saddlebag :D. Maybe a best farkle for an ST1300 owner is an ST1100?

There's also the built in factory can holders on the ST1100's that's not found on the ST1300's. (flat tip over wings work great as holders when stopped).

Ummm, in order
Givi top case.
Vista throttle lock.
RAM mount for the GPS & the GPS.
Fused direct connector to the battery (charging ease & power source)
Spensor saddle mod.
Aux 12 v power plug, neath the farkle shelf.
PAR 36 aux lights
Cruise control (The throttle lock IS INSTANT)
Raising the Farkle shelf 1/2 inch in the rear.
Cramp Buster (nice in the twisties)
Fiamm tooters (nice but lights will prevent having to use the tooters)

Which mount and where do you have it?

I have mine mounted with the adapter for the clutch or brake reservoir bracket. I've had it mounted on both sides. It's a toss up as to which is better. It depends on which view you like more, the middle or the edge of the road I guess. The biggest trouble with the clutch side is that the viewfinder screen tends to blow shut as it's on the left side of my camera and is therefore out in the wind.

The part numbers and URL are listed below. It takes three pieces to make up the mount. The bottom bit mounts it to the bike. The middle gets the camera up so it can see over the dash. The top mounts the camera to the middle using the mounting hole on the bottom of the camera.

Ram Mounts
RAM-B-202AU - 1/4" by 20 tpi camera mount
RAM-B-201U - This can be 1, 3.5, or 5 inches tall. I use the 3.5 inch.
RAM-B-309-1U - Clutch/Brake reservoir mount

All this added up to about $40.00

The Helmet Guardian for sure is the best farkle I have ever had on a bike. Oh and the Autocom with the push to talk feature for CB comms is not that bad either. But every time some rider sees me use the helmet Guardian they want to know all about it and where they can get one

How do you guys with the helmet guardian keep the inside of your helmet dry in the rain when using it? Every one that I have seen has the helmets hanging upside down.

Can't live without:
Spencer LD seat mod
MCL Footpeg lowering kit
MCL Bar Riser w/powerlet
BMW grips
Alaska butt pad
Freedom Air seat pad

Really Like:
Stebel horn
Garmin GPS
Valentine One radar detector
Turbo Tom's access. dash mount
Ram Mount camera mount
Ram Mount cup holder
Ram Mount GPS mount
Stealth backrest
Cortech tank bag

Don't like these:
MCL Highway Wings
MCL Seat Riser
Green Light stop light trigger

I love:
my heated grips make all the differnce when caught in the cooler and cold weather unprepared.
Spencer seat with LD mod
Deflectors made a pretty good diff in heat issue what little there was and work great in the rain and I think they look good.
Tip over bars but I need longer bolts now that I added a hitch
I like:
Trailer hitch and uni-go not needed but real nice.
Not much I don t like yet but I have more to do.
Still waiting to instal the J&M CB and perm stero for speakers I installed a year ago
And hope to install my Fuzeblock.com in the next few days so I have light and power to my trailer

If it's raining (or looks like it's going to rain,) I carry my helmet in with me where ever I am going.

Best- Audiovox Cruise Control. I would either buy a bike with electronic cruise, or install this unit. Better mileage, less chance for tickets, no wrist fatigue, etc.

Heated Tourmaster jacket liner. Why didn't I buy one of these decades ago (or something similar)?

MCL risers. Helps with the bad neck, but I prefer the feel of the lower bars when hauling a__ through corners.

My wife loves the Pirate's Lair backrest. I like it because I can take it off in 30 seconds.
