Hi
a new-ish joiner (my first post at least) here
based in Surrey, UK, I have a ST1100V (1997) in wineberry red with only 42k on the clock. A recent acquisition and moving over from owning a Honda VFR750FK. Been riding for nigh on 20 years so no wet pup. That's it for now. Hope to contribute as much as I can learn from all the experts here.

Hello - New to St-owners. I have just stated riding after a 30 year break. Started Riding back in the 70's when the Honda 750 was the meanest bike on the road. Had a 750 SuperSport. Now I have a ST1100. Thanks to all

There's a few different ways, depending on what you would like to do.
If you are responding to a comment, there are a couple of ways. 1) At the bottom of the comments, there is a reply box. Type in the text box then click the button in the button right corner of the text box to reply. 2) To quote a comment, click on the 'reply with quote' button. The software will capture the comment made by that person and place the cursor after that, where you can begin typing. Again, click the button in the bottom right corner of the text box to reply.
If you wish to post a new thread, near the top left of the forum you should see "start new thread." Clicking that button will bring up a text box for you to enter a title and text.
Hope that helps. (HTH)

Hi all. New ST owner here, but have been plotting to get one for a while now. My last bike was an '84 V-65 Sabre, but sold it in '93 because my then-wife hated motorcycles.
I've been remarried now for 5 years to a wife who likes bikes and decided it was high time to get an ST. Found a local 2000 ST1100 w/ 45K miles and faded paint for under $3K. Couldn't pass it up.
I joined this forum a while back, because I knew I'd eventually own one, and now I do.
Greetings and salutations,
Tim

Hey gang! My name is Shane. I am from Gilroy, CA. My personal bike is a 2000 Harley Davidson Road King Classic and I am extremely proud to announce that I just recently purchased a 2007 ST1300P to add to my stable. I ride part-time for an incredible escort company and love riding with my buddies there. I started out on an ST with the company until one of my teammates was riding my company ST and was ran into on the freeway. Luckily he wasn't hurt too bad but the ST was totaled. Since then, I have been riding a backup old Kawasaki while missing the ST. My new ST is now being fixed up for service and I cant wait! I am here to learn and am excited to be an ST owner myself now.

2007 ST1300
Hello!

I'm in Starkville, MS. I bought a 2007 ST1300 August of 2014, and it's my daily rider. My prior bike was (is) a K100, still sitting in my driveway, waiting to be sold.

Hello,
I'm in Decatur, IL and have been a member here for 5 years but today I finally got an ST!
It's a beautiful 2005 with 21000 miles. Had been trying to sell my VStrom to buy an ST but couldn't wait and did a trade today.

Hey all, I was creeping around here a few years ago, dreaming of the day I'd finally own either a ST1100 or ST1300. I just picked up a 2003 with 37k miles on her. First thing I noticed was it doesn't seem to like being thrown into a corner, seems to fight me and wanting to stay upright. Of course I've been playing in the dirt the last 6 years and I wasn't sure how it would compare to my old 94 VFR. Totally different bikes. Mine came with a pan European seat that fits like a glove and top box(a must so my 13yr old daughter could lean back. I drove it home in 33* temps yesterday morning and I have to add, I left the faceshield on my helmet open the entire 25 mile ride home. The fairing and wind screen do one heck of a job!!! Of course the engine heat that these earlier bikes were known for really helped with keeping the legs warm too. I have to figure out how to either lower or raise the windscreen as the top is right in my line of sight. This is the non abs/powered windscreen. I'm impressed with the brakes too.

I ran to the DMV this morning to get legal beagle and plan to take my daughter to school tomorrow on it. She's all excited that she's going to show up to school on the back of a cycle. lol So far the ST hasn't let me down on expectations. I look forward to putting a ton of miles on her. Since I'm in Michigan, I don't have much time left to ride, so I'm going to squeeze in as many miles as possible before storing it. I seem to buy my bikes at this time of year due to deals. It just sucks to only get to ride for such a short time and having to wait until Spring to ride it again.

Edit: After getting in about 100 miles of seat time now, I'm liking it better. That heavy front end, throwing into a corner or turn thing comes much easier now. It's just been a long time since I rode something more than 240#s and 50hp or wasn't standing half the time. It's pretty nimble for something that weighs a tad North of 700#s. Even at near idle speed it's very manageable. It's got my daughter's approval. She's the one that talked me into riding her to school twice this week....with frost on the ground both of those mornings. That fairing blocks a hell of a lot, only my fingertips were partially frozen by the time I got the office. I have a pair of Klim snowmobile gloves I might give a try. The original owner put an aftermarket seat on it, it has Pan European stitched into it and it's kind of like a saddle for the rider. You fit "into" it. The passenger seat is nice and wide and comfy, or so I hear. He also put those powerlet plugs in a couple of places, one is right in the middle of the bar mount, then two right by the shock dial. I just ordered an adapter that runs two 12v cig type out of one powerlet outlet. One for the radar detector, the other for the Nuvi. Just have to figure out where and how to mount each of those.

Next week looks like it's going to be yet another beautiful week to ride the ST to work before the temps finally dropped and the snow starts flying and the sea foam goes in and then the loooong wait for spring.

Hi, I am a Beta, Kymco and used motorcycle dealer. I currently own a BMW F652 GS, DR650, and Victory Kingpin. I purchased a 1995 ST1100 non abs this week to add to the herd. As soon as my broken collarbone heals (fell off a new Beta) I look forward to trying to squeek in a ride or 2 before it snows.

Hello Everyone, I am old ST1100 rider. Just had my Goldwing totaled from being rear ended. Presently have a BMW R1200RT. Will most likely have an ST1300 in the near future.
