Re: ST1100 Valve Clearance Worksheet

Nice work there, John.
I just dug in to my '95 (67K) as the valve covers were leaking a bit and since I was in there decided to at least check the valves. All good on left bank but on the right the #3 exhausts were at 0.007" and 0.008", both with #208 shims. Just need to find someone local this week who has some shims (a 200 and a 198 should do it). Nice and clean in there too, just like in your pictures.
Probably do a carb-synch as well and I'm looking forward to getting all that tupperware back on.

Re: ST1100 Valve Clearance Worksheet

Very well done! My 96 has only 50,000 on it, but at 10,000 per year it will not be long before this comes in handy.

Thanks,

Thank you John. Mine '94 with 137K on odo is probably due for clearance check. What other parts besides timing belt should I order before I get to it? Shims and...?

Here is the ST1100 version of my Valve Clearance Worksheet.

This is what it looks like (low res)

My 98 ST has 101K on the clock, and I finally had to shim one of the valves :)

and here is a link to the pdf file - its 2.5 mb in size

Thanks for creating the worksheet. Should the text for step 4 say rotate to "T4" (and not T1)?
